iTunes promotes Don in their world section

For the first time in Bollywood the music of a Hindi film soundtrack, Don was made available of purchase on the iTunes Music Store simultaneously along with the release of its music. This is for the first time in the history of the Indian film industry that a movie soundtrack has been made available online the same day as the official launch of its music, and prior to the public availability of the CD. And now there is more news to come. iTunes is promoting Don by featuring it as a key property on their world page. What's more interesting is that the album has made its debut with customer ratings of an overwhelming 4 ½ stars. The customer feedback on the iTunes website for the soundtrack of Don is simply amazing. Bollywood is getting faster by the day and the fact can be proved with customer reviews on iTunes that say, “Don has finally arrived. I am shocked in a happy way for the soundtrack to make it to iTunes this quick. I think it's about time Bollywood is getting to where it belongs, mainstream entertainment. Awesome!”. The soundtrack has been scored by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy that is very racy, dance-oriented, techno and modern with heavy instrumentals, beats and rhythms, merging the past and contemporary. Javed Akhtar has written the lyrics with guest tracks being composed by Midival Punditz and DJ Randolph.

Don : Music

The Teaser Tune is absolutely smashing as the 'mood' is created right away when Shahrukh Khan introduces himself as 'Don' in a chilling tone. The music picks up pace that is interspersed with some classic dialogues from the film. Yes, what you are guessing is right - 'Don ko pakadna mushkil hi nahi namumkin hai'! The signature tune of 'Arrey Deewano....Main Hoon Don' combined with techno effect create just the right ambience for a thriller like this. The next song is 'Yeh Mera Dil Pyaar Ka Deewana' sung by Sunidhi Chauhan. Her rendition has that ice cold effect which makes this modern day remix of a decades old song exciting once again. Expect the adrenaline level to go up when the song comes on the big screen! Then comes the title track "Main Hoon Don". There is nothing common with the classic original. It takes time to grow on you and it requires at an average 5-10 hearings before one completely gets hooked on. The Nest Track is 'Aaj Ki Raat' which turned out to be most interesting of all since it managed to do what most of the others hadn't so far i.e. surprise you! It is a song that perfectly combines the mood of today's style with yesterday's theme i.e. turns out to be a true-blue fusion track. A haunting situational track that could well be set during the film's climax, it makes for a good lounge outing. Lastly is the most awaited song of the enterprise - 'Khaike Paan Banaras Waala'. As expected Udit Narayan gives his everything to a song that he may as well call it as a song of his life because of the 'pressure' factor. One listening to the song and you know that pressure is something that seems to be quite a distance away from the singer. hehehe. I have got a sample of 3 songs from Don. You can download them from here. Bappa Morya Yeh Mera Dil Aaj Ki Raat

SHOLAY 2007

Sholay is 2007 remake by Ram Gopal Varma of the 1975 film of the same name directed by Ramesh Sippy.

The original starred Amitabh Bachchan. Ram Gopal Varma has already surprised the public by announcing that Amitabh Bachchan will play the role of Gabbar Singh played by Amjad Khan in the original. Basanti's character, originally played by Hema Malini, might not be there. Ram Gopal Varma has said that in the new sholay there will be no Basanti. If he changes his mind, then the movie will have Rani Mukherjee for the roll of Basanti. The character of Jai will be portrayed by new find, Mohit Ahlawat. Another shocking casting decision was Katrina Kaif being chosen for the role of Radha. Abhishek Bachchan was originally meant to play the role of Veeru but dropped out. When Ram Gopal Varma discussed the film's end with Amitabh and Abhishekh, they realised it would be very difficult to show the real-life father and son duo fight each other for shooting the climax. This led to Abhishek bowing out of the film. Saif Ali Khan was then offered the role but he turned it down as well. It was announced in December 2005 that Ajay Devgan will now essay the role of Veeru. Sunil Shetty will be seen in the role of Sambaa. Urmila Matondkar, an old favourite of Ramu, will also appear in this film for the item song mehbooba mehbooba. A special remixed version of the original number has already been recorded.

The World's Fastest And Most Expensive Car In The World !!

THE BUGATTI VEYRON

The Veyron is a short, curvy two-seater with massive power. Its 1,001 horsepower engine has four turbochargers. The car's features sound like those on a jet: diffuser flaps, air-intake scoops, a tail wing that acts like an airbrake and 1.7 miles of cable to power onboard electronics. Its price is about 1.2 million dollars and travels over 230 mph, and hits 62 mph in 2.5 seconds. Bugatti has sold 45 Veyrons so far. Bugatti, owned by Volkswagen, can only produce one Veyron per week in its newly built factory in France, and will only produce the two-tone vehicle when one is ordered. The company will also stop when it hits 300 orders.

The dashboard has a very stylish look as you can see and you can also see the speedometers, tachometers, fuel guage, etc below. Looks beautiful doesn't it ? Whoo, man what i would do to get one of those cars.

Need For Speed : Carbon A New Era Of Racing Begins Soon

Need for Speed: Carbon is the latest installment in Need For Speed series. Many of the cars in Need for Speed: Carbon will make a return from Need For Speed Most Wanted, such as the Porsche Cayman S, the Aston Martin DB9, and the Lamborghini Gallarado. New additions to the car list include the Nissan 300ZX and the new 2008 Dodge Challenger. It is also evident that nighttime racing will make a welcome return to the series as some of the cars appear to have neon lights. This could mean that exotic cars may be featured in tuner races such as drift and may have very cool customization similar to the Need For Speed : Underground series. NFS : Carbon will be featuring actress and model Emmanuelle Vaugier as its model. In NFS Most Wanted the game featured Josie Maran as the game's model. You can also design how your front and rear bumpers look.
The game will also feature drift racing, like in The Fast the Furious : Tokyo Drift and Canyon Racing, a race where you have to follow a racer down a mountain trail and not hit them or fall off the mountain. According to Game Informer and Larry Lapierre, Executive Producer of EA Black Box, this game is the sequel to Most Wanted and incorporates many features used in Most Wanted. The game's name is based on Carbon Canyon in California, which is a shocker to many NFS fans because this is the first time the game is based on an actual location. In the August issue of GameInformer, EA has said that there will be 50 cars in the game. The game will be taking its ideas from real life racing clubs, giving you the abililty to recruit teammates, which is a first for NFS. From the group of teammates you can pick specific people, like a pathfinder who can help you through the track, a blocker who races beside you in the race and can target cars during the race and knock them off the course, and a drafter who can help you find the slipstream in the race. Also from this team you can assign Fabricators, people who "Trick Out" your ride, Mechanics, and a "fixer", a person behind-the-scenes who can get the "heat" off your back or truckers out of your way. Also new to the NFS franchise is the ability to win territories, which has benefits from certain car part stores to important people.

‘Ya Ali’ from Gangster, a copy of an Arabic number

Pritam is in a problem yet again for copying. This time it’s for the song ‘Ya Ali’ from the film Gangster, which apparently is a copy of an originally Arabic number called ‘Ya Ghali’. The song ‘Ya Ghali’ is composed by a Kuwait based band called Guitara. The band seems to be very upset with the Bollywood composer for using their tune without even informing them. The band leader Fahad Shammoh says that they saw the song on TV and it is completely stolen. He says that the credit for the success of ‘Ya Ali’ goes to ‘Ya Ghali’ and therefore the profits should be shared with them. Apparently, the music company which owns the rights of the Arabic song is owned by Prince Al Waleed Bin Talal from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia royal family. The Prince is now planning to sue Pritam over the issue and the case is in progress. Pritam however, denies getting “inspiration” from ‘Ya Ghali’. He says that he didn’t know this song even existed. He says that he was inspired by a Muslim folk song which has been around for centuries. However, Zubeen Garg, the singer of ‘Ya Ali’ says that he knew about the original song but adds that it’s not being completely copied. If you want proof to testify this i have it here are samples of both the songs hear them and you'll see the similarity between the two. Here are the links Ya Ali Ya Ghali

Dubai Metro And Burj Dubai

The Dubai Metro will be a fully automated metro network that is under construction in the city of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. The network will have two third rail collection system powered lines that will both run underground in the city center and on elevated viaducts elsewhere on double tracks. It will be the first train to run in the Middle East. Completion of the first section of the system is projected for 2009.

There are two lines which use 99 five-car trains each 75-meters long with seat for 400 passengers :

1- Red Line: 50-kilometer (31-mile) line with 35 stations from Jebel Ali Port, the American University in Dubai, through the city center, and to the Airport Free Zone.

2 - Green Line: 20-kilometer (12.4-mile) line with 22 stations from Festival City, through the city center, Dubai International Airport Terminals 1 and 3, and to Rashidiya.

3 - Blue Line: 47-kilometer line along Emirates Road, the exact route is currently unknown.

When completed, Dubai Metro will have a total of 70 kilometres (43.5 miles) of lines, and 42 stations (including 9 underground stations). It is estimated that it will comprise of 12 % of the total trips in Dubai. Each station will have its own car park, taxi stand and bus stop. Dubai Municipality Public Transport Department projects to carry 1.2 million passengers on an average day, 27,000 passengers per hour for each line, and 355 million passengers per year once both lines are fully operational. This is how downtown Dubai is going to look in 2009. With the new addition the tallest tower in the world the Burj Dubai.

The Burj Dubai is a skyscraper currently under construction, since April 15, 2005. Its final height is officially being kept a secret due to competition; however, figures released by a contractor on the project have suggested a height of around 808 m. (2650 ft). The total number of floors stands at around 162. The tower is designed by Skidmore, Owings And Merrill, who also designed the Sears Tower in Chicago and the unbuilt Freedom Tower in New York City, among numerous other buildings. The interior will be decorated by Giorgia Armani. An Armani Hotel will occupy the lower 37 floors. Floors 45 through 108 will have 700 private apartments in 64 floors (which, according to the developer, sold out within eight hours of going on sale). Corporate offices and suites will fill most of the remaining floors, except for a 123rd floor lobby and 124th floor indoor/outdoor observation deck. The spire will also hold communications equipment. An outdoor zero-entry swimming pool will be located on the 78th floor of the tower. It will also feature the world's fastest elevator, at 18 m/s (65 km/h, 40 mph). Thats like fast !!!. If you are looking for a great place to live, come to Dubai.

After Krrish..

Producer Aditya Chopra is leaving no stone unturned to make the best out of Dhoom 2. The film is adapted from After The Sunset. After completing the South Africa Schedule in which some special stunts were shot, Aditya was not happy with them and is now insisting on re-shooting some of the shots, "Which should look better than what was shown in Krrish".
Well, the person who is having the last laugh in the entire process is Hrithik Roshan. While Krrish is set, Dhoom 2 is going to be After the sunset. ;)

Happy Independence Day Y,all

In the blessed memory of those courageous Indians who died in the struggle for freedom. Thousand of men and women have given their lives so that you, someone they never knew nor will ever meet, can be free to sit at your computer and read this. Freedom is something that cant be bought by money but has to be fought for. The only thing that can purchase freedom is blood. And today we say a little prayer of thanks to those who have sacrificed their lives for our freedom. The 15th August. Please remember those who gave their lives for us.
HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY

Himmesh Reshammiya

Why does this immensely talented musician insist on singing.Through his nose at that. He is a wondeful and exciting composer. But now since his songs are going down he is soon going to be a flop in a year or so. The difference between his songs and songs of singers like sonu nigam or udit narayan. You can listen to himmesh's songs for a little while and you might forget it But these songs can be remembered even after a year or so. So a word of advise to Mr Nose Singer Please stop singing and compose some good songs like you used to and give the songs to great singers like Sonu Nigam. And compare these 2 photos see how he used to look and see how he looks now.
