UFO SIGHTING IN KOLKATA

A WHITE dazzling fireball streaked across the dark sky over Kolkata in the wee hours of Tuesday, dancing as it were, emanating myriad colours, and leaving many Kolkatans who saw it, agape. It hung in the skies for roughly three hours, allowing an intrepid photographer to take video clips spanning the entire period of time. The Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) was shown on a regional TV channel.

The clip filmed on a handy cam, taken by Farhan Akhtar, a senior executive of a private company, was shown to the MP Birla Planetarium director D P Duari who said the flying object, seen “at 30 degrees on the eastern horizon” was “interesting and strange”. He appeared on TV along with Akhtar who narrated what he saw.

The fireball, on which the handy cam zoomed into, appeared to be circular. It was now white, now green, now purple – now red. It moved from east to west changing its shape rapidly from a circle to a triangle and then a straight line. On the video clip, at one stage it distinctly looked like a flying saucer -- a circular disc with studs on it.

Quite a few others spotted the strange object in the eastern sky and hundreds gathered along Eastern Metropolitan Bypass craning their necks to look at extraterrestrial object sending them into a tizzy.

Akhtar had got up at the ungodly hour to close a window and pull the drapes after his wife started feeling cold. He first thought it was an airplane and then thought it was a star. Deciding to take a closer look he reached for his handy cam and zoomed in and tracked it for three hours on a tripod because his hands were shaking. The object was visible even after daylight broke. It disappeared at around 6.30 a.m.

“No natural phenomenon is likely to last for such a long duration and it is not a meteor either. It is an extremely interesting and strange object,” Duari told the TV channel.
Scientists are star gazers are mystified by the phenomenon.

”A cosmic body cannot change its appearance the way this one seemed to do. But an expert needs to observe it for a longer period of time to be able to comment on it. It is very strange and intriguing. Sadly, TV pictures are not enough to come to a conclusion,” Kamalesh Kar, astro-particle physicist at the Saha Institute of Nuclear Physic told a section of the Kolkata press.

History Of Nokia!!

Everybody knows Nokia as a very cool mobile phone company. But does anyone know what Nokia was like before. It wasn't even known as nokia but it was known as Mobira and here's one of the mobira. The Cityman 200!Nokia had been producing commercial and military mobile radio communications technology since the 1960s and later began developing mobile phones for the Nordic Mobile Telephone (NMT) network standard that went online in the 1980s.
In 1982, Nokia (then Mobira) introduced its first car phone, the Mobira Senator for NMT 450 networks. The Mobira Talkman, launched in 1984, was the world's first transportable phone. In 1987, Nokia introduced the world's first handheld phone, the Mobira Cityman 900. When the Mobira Senator of 1982 had weighed 9.8 kg, and the Talkman just under 5 kg the Mobira Cityman weighed only 800 g with the battery and had a price tag of 24,000 Finnish marks (approximately EUR 4,560). Despite the high price, the first phones were almost snatched from the sales assistants’ hands. Initially, the mobile phone was a ‘yuppie’ product and a status symbol.

Eleanor : The Shelby GT500

The 1967 Shelby Mustang GT500 came equipped with the 428 cubic-inch Police Interceptor engine. In February of 1968, the GT500-KR became available and was considered the ultimate Shelby. The main place where this car became famous was as the role of Eleanor in Gone In 60 Seconds (2000). The car which was difficult to capture and no matter how many times you tried to boost it something always happened.

But now the past is gone, Lets talk about the new Model !!!
The 2007 Shelby Mustang GT500

Introduced at the 2003 New York International Auto Show, the GT500 uses a 5.4L Modular 500HP supercharged V8. Features include the Tremec TR-6060 6-speed manual transmission, suspension tuning, a body kit, and 18 inch wheels. Deliveries of the Shelby GT500 began in May 2006. The right to purchase the first 2007 Shelby GT500 was auctioned off at the Barret-Jackson Collector Car Auction on 21 January 2006 in Scottsdale, Arizona for $648,000.
And it goes 0-60 mph in 4.9 sec. WHOOOO!

But This Car Also has a big brother!!!
The Shelby GT500 KR

which was considered the ultimate Shelby.

The New Shelby GT500 KR which was also revealed at the 2007 New York International Auto Show, is scheduled for release in the spring of 2008, is powered by a (estimated) 540 horsepower 5.4-liter supercharged V-8 variation with a Ford Racing Power Upgrade Pack. The Shelby GT500KR styling features include a carbon composite hood with scoops and hood pins, a lowered front air dam, and 14-inch Brembo front brakes with functional cooling ducts. The 2008 GT500KR draws on styling features from the classic 1968 "King of the Road" GT500KR model, and includes 40th anniversary badging, racing stripes, and Carroll Shelby signature embroidered seats. The GT500KR's price is estimated to be around the $52,000 range. The GT500KR will be the second fastest production Mustang ever built after the Saleen S281 extreme which had a 550h break horse power engine.

Shelby was used in many movies, one of the futuristic shelby was the cobra concept which was used in xXx 2.
Looks Nice Doesnt It. That it for today

The New Nokia N75

I just saw this mobile and had to write about it, it's a flip phone like the N76 but not as thin and long but its smaller and a little thicker. It has 40 mb built in memory. It has a 2.0 megapixels camera and guess what it has a Toshiba CMOS sensor , F/3, 5 mm. It looks cool. It has been made specifically for the North American 3G market, supporting WCDMA 850/1900 frequencies, however it will still be available in other countries such as the UK.

One Game Which I Cant Wait For!!!!

NFS PRO STREET
Need for Speed: Pro Street will take the Need for Speed series in a new direction of game play. Instead of an arcade style of game play which has dominated the series, Pro Street will focus much more on realism and move closer to, but not into, racing simulation, and still with options to use driving assistants to make driving easier and more arcade-like. Unlike its predecessors, all racing in Pro Street will take place on closed tracks, thus making it the first game in the series not animating illegal racing behaviour since Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed, hence there will not be any police in the game. Performance tuning will take up a large part of game play in a way that even a small adjustment of the shape of a car's body will impact its performance. Autosculpt is back from Carbon, but with much greater detail. According to an Electronic Arts employee, there will be thousands of aftermarket upgrades, visual and performance, from real performance brands.
Pro Street will feature next-generation graphics aiming for a more photo-realistic feel, and more advanced physics. It will also be the first Need for Speed game to include damage modelling since 2000's Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed. The new damage system is said to be very accurate, as a collision with any object in the game world may render a car damaged or even useless.
The Main Car I'll be waiting for in this game is The Skyline GT PROTO. That car looks awesome!
There will be over 60 cars from around 26 manufactures included in Pro Street. Only eight of these are super cars, making them relatively rare, as in real life.
I CANT WAIT FOR THIS GAME !!!
